To Blog or not to Blog?
This seems to be the hot question of the year. We've been helping many bloggers get started and most are finding it easy and fun. Some people are even making money from their blog. There are many flavors of blogs and there are no set rules of what a blog should be.

If you are considering starting a blog, here are a few ideas:

• If you don't know what you would blog about, take a moment and think about what you know best. What do people ask you about your hobby or work. Check out this blog written by a master chef who sticks to the topic of red wine: http://redwines.blogspot.com/.

• Attach a blog area to an existing web site. This keeps your site dynamic and interesting. Think of your blog as a weekly press release about your company or a place to address your frequently asked questions. The Party Goddess has a sample of this at http://www.thepartygoddess.com/blog/

• If you don't have a web site, you don't need one. You can start a blog site for free at http://www.blogger.com/

• Did you know, your blog can make money? Check out Google Ads for more information about their AdSense program at http://www.google.com/ads/. You can also join web affiliate programs. My favorite site for affiliate links is http://www.linkshare.com/.
